My name is Mitra. I enjoy a healthy lifestyle and have a natural passion for being fit. This way of life developed for me while attending the University of Oregon in Eugene - a pivotal point in my evolution as a health and exercise professional. As an avid trail runner, cyclist, and long time yoga practitioner, I thrive on the challenges of maintaining an active lifestyle and well-being.
My professional experience as an exercise and health professional includes teaching Physical Education, Health and Wellness courses academically for colleges and universities in Oregon and Washington. As a motivated and passionate community health leader with an outcome driven mindset, I have 12+ years of experience as a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and Exercise Instructor in large-scale athletic clubs, fitness studios, and corporate wellness centers. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon in International studies with a strong emphasis in Community Health, Exercise Science, and Nutrition.
I specialize in nature-inspired fitness & wellness programming in addition to my mobile personal training and wellness coaching services. My nature fitness programs are grounded in my background as an endurance athlete-I have always considered the natural environment to be an integral part of my life and I believe nature is a profound place with a sense of complete freedom, inspiration, and empowerment.
My perspective on nature-inspired fitness and wellness is heavily influenced by the years I spent living on the Olympic Peninsula and working for the Olympic National Park in Washington state. This is where I first reaped the benefits of incorporating the natural environment into my training routine, and since then, moving through nature has been my lifelong pursuit - these life experiences set the foundation for the nature fitness and wellness programs I currently offer to my clients.
I am truly honored and privileged to be able to share my personal story, along with my professional experience to inspire and coach my clients towards lasting sustainable healthy lifestyles and wellbeing.
My Approach
I take an innovative, sustainable, and minimalistic coaching approach to create customized exercise and wellness plans that improve my client’s minds and bodies as well as enhancing the quality of their lives. I accomplish this by gaining an understanding of your life as a whole by taking into account your physical, mental, and emotional health goals, in order to co-create exercise and wellness programs that are in alignment with your unique body and lifestyle.
This holistic approach to exercise and wellness will naturally enhance your well-being by encouraging you to adopt healthy and sustainable fitness habits that resonate with you as an individual while transpiring to move forward our community’s collective well-being. As a social justice advocate and environmentally conscious health professional, I continually strive to bring my passion for exercise and wellness to my individual clients as well as make a positive impact on the overall health of the community.
